Elastomeric Wall Coatings and “Wet-sealing” – The building had damage and leaking on the window joints and window ledge which had previously only been painted and not sealed. We set out to restore the weep system along the window footer which included caulking all the glass-to-metal joints (wet-sealing), caulking all metal-to-metal joinery, caulking the window perimeter metal-to-precast joint, and coating the window ledge with two coats of elastomeric coating. All prior silicone was removed and replaced with a newer, stronger material. The elastomeric coating for the window ledges got color matched to the existing paint and created a seamless transition between the repairs and the building.
