Curtain Wall Waterproofing – After experiencing extensive leaking during the winter of 2005/2006, the Owner engaged Century Building Solutions, Inc. to investigate and design a new system of caulking to replace existing aged sealants and rectify design flaws in the granite in-fills. Phased in a program over two years, our company gradually waterproofed the building until the only problems occurred on the top-level penthouse suites. Further investigation revealed a combination of leaking related to areas where the steel roofing structural supports were fastened at the top of the curtain wall and problems with bird damage eating the silicone rubber weather seals.
Balcony Deck Coating – After completing the curtain wall, Century Building Solutions, Inc. was asked to return to complete the upper roof balcony areas that required complex access. Our company installed the Neogard Pedagard pedestrian traffic membrane system to keep these areas waterproof.
